Aloysius Hansley Jr. began his creative career in musical theater, appearing in shows like The Me Nobody Knows in Toronto, Double V in Paris and HAIR around the world. His travels took him to London where, at the behest of a noted producer, he formed the Majestics, a three man vocal group. After limited success and loads of session work, he began to focus his attention on what he really loved, writing. Eventually his wander lust brought him home where his musical, The Gramophone Rag, was performed at Laney College in Oakland, California; later to move to the On Broadway Theater in downtown San Francisco. Now happily married with children, he frequently calls upon his experiences of growing up in the inner city and subsequent world travels. Using these invaluable tools as a guide, he writes his books for the young and the young at heart.
